1. The planning and design of the basement is carried out prior to commencement.

2. The ground will be excavated to a specified level to give more floor to ceiling height. A new concrete sub base will be laid. The initial work towards installing the window will be carried out.

3. At this stage this tanking of the walls and the insulation will be fitted and flooring membrane will be laid. After this the chipboard floating floor will go down to carry the metal stud walling. The first fix of the plumbing and electrical work is then carried out.

4. Initially the walls and ceilings would be insulated, this is for both sound proofing and to restrict heat loss. The walls and ceilings are then plaster boarded with fire protection where necessary.

5. The final stage, all joinery work completed (doors, architraves, skirting boards etc). Also the second fix of the plumbing and electrical work (wc / radiator / sockets and lighting). Any final decor and floor coverings can be carried out.
